Laurentian is GLERL's largest research vessel.  It is capable of long duration and heavy lift operations and is a very versatile platform for sampling, surveys and deployments.  There is extensive deck machinery, laboratory space and on board accommodations that can be adapted for various projects, as well as a moon pool for hydro acoustics or survey capabilities. Additionally, Laurentian runs almost exclusively on bio fuels and bio lubricants.
